Cosmetic Dentistry Services in Auburn, CA

We absolutely love providing smile makeovers for our patients and changing people’s lives! We have seen quite a few patients over the years become more self-confident, more radiant and more willing to show off their smile in social situations having fixed chipped teeth or having closed spaces with veneers. Also, bleaching has given many patients the opportunity to have a whiter, brighter smile. You’ll see several examples of this in our soon-coming Smile Gallery.

If you have any questions about how you can have a healthy, attractive smile like the people on this site, please ask us.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cover” placed over a tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and/or to improve its appearance.

When the crowns are cemented into place, they cover the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.

A dental crown is placed in the following situations:

  • To protect a weak tooth from breaking or to hold together parts of a cracked tooth
  • To restore a broken tooth or a tooth that has been severely worn down
  • To cover and support a tooth that has a large filling when there isn’t a lot of tooth left
  • To hold a dental bridge in place
  • To cover severely discolored or misshapen teeth
  • To cover a dental implant

Placement of dental crowns can often be done in one comfortable visit at Fountains Dental Excellence.

Teeth Whitening and Bleaching

Fountains Dental Excellence in Roseville can brighten stained, discolored, or dull teeth with Zoom Laser Whitening.Teeth whitening is perfect for people with healthy teeth and gums. Individuals whose teeth have yellowed due to coffee, red wine, juices and aging respond best.

Dental Bonding

We can place enamel-like resin (bonding resin) on a broken or misshapen tooth’s surface and sculpt it exactly like a natural tooth.

Fresh Breath Treatment

Millions of people have bad breath but until recently, there has been no effective approach to diagnose and treat it. If you have experienced any of the following, you may benefit from Fountains Dental Excellence’s Fresh Breath Treatment:

  • You worry that your breath interferes with your social or professional success.
  • You often notice a bad taste in your mouth or a white or yellow film on your tongue.
  • People step away from you when you talk to them, or they avoid direct contact with you.
  • Somebody has mentioned that you have bad breath, or offered you mints or chewing gum.

Instant Orthodontics

Instant Orthodontics is a combination of Porcelain Veneers and Bonded Porcelain Restorations, which are widely accepted as the benchmark of conservative cosmetic dentistry. They are used to mask discolored and/or poorly-shaped teeth, or to create a Hollywood smile through the use of ultra-thin shells of porcelain.

This is called instant orthodontics because in as little as two weeks you can go from discolored and/or crowded teeth to a perfect smile. Patients select instant orthodontics to avoid spending two to three years in metal braces to align their teeth.

Metal-free Fillings

Many consider Mercury fillings toxic, but there are actually five metals in amalgam fillings: mercury, zinc, tin, silver and copper, all of which are toxic minerals. Although our bodies require minerals, these are inorganic minerals. Unfortunately, only 6% of dentists provide metal-free fillings. At Fountains Dental Excellence, we provide metal-free fillings along with helpful information on what you should know and do if you still have metal fillings.

Laser Gum Recontouring

A “gummy smile” can detract from an otherwise great-looking appearance. What causes a “gummy smile”? A variety of factors including genetics, medications, and poor oral health are the most common factors. In many instances, the gum tissue is so predominant that it’s almost the only thing seen when the patient smiles. How do we correct a gummy smile? With the technology available today, a soft tissue laser is used like an artist’s brush to reshape the position and architecture of the gum tissue. Requiring little or no anesthetic, the laser literally vaporizes the unwanted tissue. Patients return to work and regular activities immediately with full recovery in only a few days.

We use the soft tissue laser in several other ways here at Fountains Dental Excellence. In most of our Smile Makeovers, the gum tissue is laser-corrected for the ideal look. For periodontal or poor oral health conditions, the laser is used to remove tissue that traps bacteria around the teeth. Additionally, many oral lesions or ulcers can be treated with the laser to eliminate pain and speed up recovery.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

Occasionally, patients have a bite that is broken down after years of wear and tear on the surface of the teeth. We have special training that enables us to rebuild these teeth to create a comfortable, functional and aesthetic bite.
